hello! great plugin,
i used in the past version of my site and everthing was ok….
now i have some problem: when i try to search the css styles goes crazy.
seems that the first two lines goes under the live search.
do you know how do you fix it?

yea, i updated to WP 2.7.1 also. It still working ONLY after a query in the results page… mmh.

Hey:

This is weird.. your plugin works fantastic in my site, but only in the “results page” after doing a query… in every other page that i have the searchform in my sidebar, doesn’t work at all… what could it be????

also… you might want to change the “No results” line to this (to make CSS all work consistently)

If anyone wants to search pages as well as posts, change the SQL line in the php source to

(wp.post_type = ‘post’ OR wp.post_type = ‘page’) AND

Hi John,

I found an important bug with your plugin as the query is built with hard coding of Wordpress prefix. I don’t, and will never use the default table prefix. Therefore I have no results all the time I use the plugin. To fix this, you should change line 9 of file search_results to this : “.$wpdb->prefix.”posts wp

That’s what I did and now it works fine !

I’m finding that my search results lag, and often times just plain hang. I’ve had it on a home server, then moved it to a shared hosting plan, but I’m wondering if setting up a dedicated sql box would do the job. Any thoughts. Total coolness. Mind if I link to here on ParklandMaps.com?

Ok. I’ll look at it when I have time. You can’t exclude pages. It searches whatever wordpress normally searches.

Just to let you know that I have a fresh install of WP 2.6.3 and your awesome plugin does not load. I had to hard code the files on the header.php

What do you suggest I try to make it load without having to do this extra step?
How can I exclude pages?

Fixed. That is really weird. Must be the stupid wordpress auto update plugin and I didn’t notice it.

Err.. Why the hell is this code in the download:

I’ve e-mailed you about this as well, but this doesn’t look very well… All using this plugin: check if this code is in it. Since if it is, you are a sitting duck…
