Great article. I used to make my own coffee like this before I got a $250 coffeemaker, which doesn't make coffee that's noticeably better than this method.

I noticed you didn't include any guidelines on how much ground coffee to use per what looks like a 16oz cup?
Obviously, it's by your own taste, but I'd start with 3 tablespoons.
If the brew comes out too strong (and stronger is always better), add a bit more hot water to it to bring it down to the strength you like.

Also, if you take some kind of milk, half/half in your coffee, try using light cream. Man, I'm telling you, a strong brew and with a dash of light cream -- it don't get much better than that.

I think the Starbucks mug would look better with a github sticker in place of the logo.

I loved the visuals to go along with the instructions! It's wonderful how there are so many products these days to allow people to make great coffee at home instead of paying a ton of money at a coffee shop for one tiny cup. I have the same Starbucks mug you have except I broke the lid on mine! :-(
